Minimum Qualifications (Screen Out Element): Ability to do the work of a(n) Maintenance Worker Helper ~ without more than normal supervision. Working from easily understood written and oral directions: mechanical maintenance and grounds keeping for grounds, structures, fixtures, utilities and equipment, without more than normal supervision. – Failure to meet this Screen out Element will result in an ineligible rating. Physical Effort- The incumbent normally works on project recreation and wildlife area facilities and equipment requiring considerable standing, stooping, bending, walking, and reaching. May perform work on ladders and scaffolds that requires overhead reaching. The work requires the lifting of materials, tools, and equipment that weigh up to 75 pounds. Working Conditions- Majority of work is performed outside with exposure to a variety of weather and temperature extremes. Some tasks may be performed inside. There is exposure to potential insect and snakebite. Is subject to cuts and bruises common to users of hand and power tools. May be subject to strain from lifting or carrying heavy tools or equipment. Is exposed to traffic hazards while driving on both improved and unimproved road surfaces.

About the Position: Performs a variety of skilled and laborer tasks related to the operation and maintenance of the dam structure and appurtenant equipment; administrative, shop and storage buildings; and recreation sites and natural resource features including wildlife habitat developments.
