You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Specialized Experience: Must have one year of specialized experience at the NJ-03 level with the operations and testing of tactical air and missile defense radars, missile launchers, communications equipment, with direct hands-on understanding of the system. You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Communications and Media Electronics Engineering Technical Competence Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-11).
About the Position:White Sands Missile Range is a unique tri-service facility for test, evaluation, research, and assessment of military systems and commercial products. The range is located in the Tularosa Basin of south-central New Mexico 30 miles east of Las Cruces, New Mexico, and 45 miles north of El Paso, Texas.
