INVENTORY MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST

To qualify for the INVENTORY MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST, GS-2010-11, your resume must demonstrate at least one year (52 weeks) of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Experience with the Department of the Navy systems, techniques, and underlying management concepts for determining, regulating, or controlling the level and flow of supplies from initial plan through acquisition, storage, issues, and utilization or disposal. Experience with a broad range of supply program relationships and in-depth knowledge of inventory management policies and procedures. Experience with specialized methods and techniques to analyze and evaluate the effectiveness and efficiency in the inventory management processes. Experience with automated records and control systems to include Government wide Purchase Card program procedures and directives and software programs, Defense Property Accountability Management Office procedures and directives, and Defense Utilization Management Office procedures and directives. Experience with developing and applying specific knowledge and experience with interpreting basic construction documents and drawing, inspection of material, workmanship, and the installation of repairs or construction, conducting facility inspections and making recommendation for service or general maintenance. Experience with the technical aspects of facilities operations and maintenance as well as the application of the skills to interpret guidelines and develop recommendations relating to facilities management.
