SUPERVISORY GENERAL ENGINEER
Naval Facilities Engineering Systems Command - Department of the Navy
In addition to the basic requirements for this position, your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-14 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector performing the following duties: 1) providing expert engineering advisory support relative to the Joint Capabilities Integration and Development System (JCIDS), and the Planning, Programming, Budgeting, and Execution process; 2) applying experimental theories and/or new applications to issues related to support of systems, subsystems, and/or support equipment; 3) providing subject matter expertise on the Department of Defense Systems Engineering methodologies as applies to the Department of the Navy acquisition process throughout all systems life-cycle phases and aspects; 4) devising and evaluating criteria, parameters, characteristics and interrelationships for design approaches to assess the impact of new technology on current systems or processes; 5) preparing technical documents, technical source selections, statements of work, and design and test standardization parameters; and 6) providing Program Executive Office (PEO), service, Component, or Headquarters-level guidance on intermediate acquisition and sustainment Acquisition Categories (ACATS) I/II and III. You will serve as a Supervisory General Engineer (Technical Director) in the Joint Petroleum Over the Shore (JPOTS) Management Office, Expeditionary Directorate, of Naval Facilities Engineering Systems Command (NAVFAC) Headquarters.
