Minimum Qualification Requirements One year (52 Weeks) of specialized experience equivalent to the NEXT LOWER BAND, PT-II, PE-IIA, CS-II or GS-13 grade level in the Federal service or equivalent. Specialized experience is defined as experience 1) monitoring, tracking, and assessing an organization’s compliance with records and information management (RIM) regulations; (2) conducting RIM quality control reviews and compliance audits (3) leading projects for process improvements to strengthen compliance and (4) analyzing an organization’s procedures to improve efficiency and effectiveness. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
This position is in the Infrastructure Operations (IO), Records and Privacy (R&P). R&P oversees the protection, access, and disclosure of GAO information assets. The incumbent will perform assignments focused on evaluating the effectiveness of GAO records policies, program and operation in the maintenance, retention and disposition of records in all media for GAO.
