You may qualify at the GS-13, if you fulfill the following qualifications: A. One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 grade level in the Federal service: Analyzing, revising, and recommending approval or adjustments to budget requests and reprogramming actions; negotiating with management to accept and implementing budgetary recommendations; developing, advising and briefing budgetary policies and programs to managers and senior leadership and; conducting extensive analysis of budgetary guidelines, policies, legislation, and regulations to develop recommendations for unplanned/unfunded requirements and funding adjustments. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
This position is part of the Defense Security Cooperation Agency. The incumbent will be responsible for revising and recommending budget approvals or adjustments; negotiating with management on budget recommendations; advising leadership on budget policies; and analyzing guidelines, policies, and regulations to address unplanned requirements and funding adjustments.
