WEAPONS SYSTEMS POLICY ANALYST

You may qualify at the GS-14, if you fulfill the following qualifications: A. One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-13 grade level in the Federal service: Developing, coordinating and representing policies in the area of weapon systems or defense related programs; Interpreting and applying national security and arms transfer policy guidelines in the context of technology transfer concerns and overall national policy objectives: Formulating appropriate policy recommendations and procedural recommendations related to technology transfers and weapons sales in support of policy objectives in support of Foreign Military Sales (FMS) or other Defense related programs; Applying technological knowledge in these areas of focus (including, but not limited to) Command and Control (C2), Electronic Warfare, Cyber, and/or Space systems. You may qualify at the GS-13, if you fulfill the following qualifications: A. One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 grade level in the Federal service: Knowledge of Weapons Systems sales and technology transfers to formulate or assist with policy; Interpreting and applying national security and arms transfer policy guidelines in the context of technology transfer concerns and overall policy objectives; Planning, scheduling, organizing tasks, and conducting all phases of projects relating to weapons policy. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
This position is part of the Defense Security Cooperation Agency. The incumbent will be responsible for serving as a Weapons Systems Policy Analyst and subject matter expert (SME) with responsibility for developing, coordinating, and representing DoD policies in the area of FMS and weapon systems. This position will focus on the C4ISR/EW (Command, Control, Communications, Computers, Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance/Electronic Warfare) portfolio.
