Supervisory Grants Management Specialist (Division Chief)

Specialized Experience: Applicants must have one (1) year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-13 level. Specialized experience is experience which is in or related to the line of work of the position to be filled and which has equipped the applicant with the specific knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position. Examples of specialized experience include: Implementing and managing complex federal grants and cooperative agreements. Providing grants-related assistance and services, such as developing, and implementing grants/assistance management policies, procedures, and practices. Applying financial management principles to analyze and evaluate complex discretionary and formula grant programs, ensuring compliance with federal grant regulations. Performing complex grant and/or agreements application reviews to determine allowability, necessity, reasonableness, and allocability of requested funds. Performing and overseeing closeout actions for grants/cooperative agreements after several years of work have been completed. Technical Qualifications: Applicants who meet the basic entry and minimum qualification requirements, as described above, will be further evaluated on the following technical qualifications: Ability to Supervise Apply analytical methods and techniques in the identification and resolution of grant and/or cooperative agreement administration issues. This position is located in the U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ), Office of Justice Programs (OJP), Bureau of Justice Assistance. BJAs mission is to provide leadership and services in grant administration and criminal justice policy development to support state, local, and tribal justice strategies to achieve safer communities. This position serves as a Division Chief in the Programs Office.
