Qualifications must be met by 11/26/2024 Minimum Qualification Requirement – To qualify for this position, you must have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GG/GS-07 level in the Federal service or equivalent pay bands (this experience could have been obtained in either the public or private sector) that equipped you with the knowledge, skills, and abilities needed to perform successfully the duties of this position. Specialized Experience is defined as: working with the Federal, State, municipal, or local government, or a private protection organization that involved the protection of property against such hazards as fire, theft, damage, accident, or trespass; or maintaining order and protecting life. Such experience must have provided the knowledge of protective systems and techniques. Acceptable experience includes service in the Armed Services or Coast Guard that involved the performance of guard duties on a regular or intermittent basis. Serves as an armed Lead Public Safety Officer and a member of a security force located at a designated field office of the United States Section, International Boundary and Water Commission (USIBWC). The primary mission of the security force is to protect lives and property from incidents or situations that include, but are not limited to, terrorist acts, criminal activities, vandalism or other willful damage/destruction, sabotage, trespass, theft, fire, and/or accidents.
