Applicants applying for the GS-14 must meet one of the following requirements: A. Have at least one full year of qualifying specialized experience that is at least equivalent in difficulty and complexity to work performed at the GS-13 grade level. Specialized experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Qualifying experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Representing management officials at meetings, conferences, and public appearances internal or external stakeholders to promote understanding and acceptance of civil rights authority, civil right compliance and/or issues; 2) Assisting and facilitating training sessions, events, working groups to align civil rights requirements; 3) Conducting quantitative and qualitative studies to identify, mitigate and address potential barriers to minorities and under-served communities; 4) Assisting with the development and updates for variety of printed and electronic materials to aid in communicating tools available for prohibiting discrimination and civil rights inequities or complaints. Time-In-Grade Requirement: Applicants must meet time-in-grade and time after competitive appointment requirements by the closing date of this announcement.
This position is located in the DEA, Office of the Deputy Administrator EEO Office. This position(s) primary purpose is to serve as the Title VI Program Manager responsible for providing effective and responsive civil rights services to under-served communities, in compliance with Title VI of the Civil Rights Act, the American with Disabilities Act, Section 504 the Rehabilitation Act, Title IX of the Education Amendments, DOJ Civil Rights guidance, and related executive orders.
