A bachelor’s degree or higher which included a major course of study or at least 24 semester hours in physical education, OR All of the following equivalent in scope and complexity to the next lower grade level: 1. Experience in the planning, supervision, administration, or delivery of a sports or physical education program which included a variety of individual and team sports. 2. Experience in providing skills development and teaching the techniques of various sports. 3. Experience coaching multiple sports or providing coaches with sports-specific training in coaching techniques and required skills/fundamentals. Recommended highly-qualifying: In addition to meeting one of the requirements above, highly qualified candidates will possess experience in the planning, evaluation, or delivery of a sports program or curriculum specifically for children or youth; or at least 12 semester hours in college coursework directly related to children or youth (i.e., PE for children, motor skills development, childhood development, early/elementary/secondary education, health/nutrition for children, child/adolescent psychology, etc.) Applicants that possess the highly preferred criteria may be sent first for consideration.
