SUPERVISORY INTERDISCIPLINARY ENGINEER/ARCHITECT (CONSTRUCTION MANAGER)

Selective Placement Factor (SPF): This position has an SPF which is current registration as a Professional Engineer (PE) or Architect (RA) in any State, the District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, or Guam. In addition to the Basic Requirements for this position, your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Managing overall requirement in administering construction contracts in developing project scopes, cost estimates, and/or design builds/request for proposals; 2) Providing subject matter expert-level guidance to engineers, architects and technicians on architectural and engineering methods during the design and construction period of project (i.e, acquisitions strategies, pre-construction conferences, constructability reviews); 3) Monitoring quality assurance and safety compliance with plans and specifications; 4) Evaluating facility construction workload against critical priorities to develop creative, technically sound solutions to problems not remedied by standard, pre-defined processes. You will serve as a Supervisory Construction Manager in the Facilities Engineering and Acquisition Division (FEAD) of NAVFAC ENGINEERING CMD MID-ATLANTIC.
