For a brief video on creating a Federal resume, click here. The GS-11 salary range starts at $72,553 per year. The GS-12 salary range starts at $86,962 per year. If you are a new federal employee, your starting salary will likely be set at the Step 1 of the grade for which you are selected. To qualify for the GS-11 level, you must possess one of the following: (1) At least one year of specialized experience, as defined below, equivalent to the GS-09 level in the Federal service; (2) A Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree or have successfully completed 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.M., if related, OR (3) Possess a combination of graduate level education and appropriate experience that together meet the qualification requirements of this position. One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-9 level in the Federal service is experience using Computer Aided Design (CAD) and Computer Aided Facilities Management (CAFM) software and programs to input and edit spatial data and to create, edit and print drawings, space assignment floor plans, etc., for commercial office buildings. This experience must also include reviewing proposed changes to spatial data management (SDM) policy and/or standard operating procedures; interpreting technical information into non-technical terms; and managing portions of SDM projects from project initiation phase through closeout including guiding project team members to accomplish goals and objectives. To qualify for the GS-12 level, you must have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-11 level or higher in the Federal service as described below: Specialized experience is performing duties that involve implementation of Spatial Data Management (SDM) programs, policies, and industry standards. This experience must include planning, organizing, and coordinating the execution of plans to meet specific program goals and targets. As a Program Specialist, you will serve as a technical program specialist performing duties that involve implementation of Spatial Data Management (SDM) programs, policies, and industry standards. This position is located in the Public Buildings Service (PBS), Portfolio Management Division (PMD), Portfolio Information and Valuation Branch. We are currently filling one vacancy, but additional vacancies may be filled as needed.
