AIRFIELD MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Evaluating the condition of airfield facilities (i.e. pavements, runways, taxiways, lighting, signage, etc.) to ensure safety criteria is met and determine operational status; 2) Assisting air traffic controllers to plan flight routes, file flight plans, and obtain clearances to operate in controlled airspace; 3) Coordinating response to airfield emergencies and mishaps; and 4) Liaising with aviation tenants to assist with airfield issues (i.e. airfield safety waivers, site approvals, etc.).
