EQUIPMENT CHECKOUT & RESALE MANAGER-OUTDOOR RECREATION

Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if the position allows for qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Qualifying Experience: High school diploma or GED required. Associates or bachelor’s degree in outdoor recreation, sports management, business, or a related field preferred. Minimum of three years of experience in outdoor recreation, sports management, or a related field, with a focus on equipment management, maintenance, and repair. Experience in managing personnel, including hiring, training, performance evaluation, and scheduling. Strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment. Knowledge of equipment maintenance, repair, and safety practices and procedures. Proficiency in inventory management, budgeting, and financial reporting. Physical ability to perform the essential functions of the job, including standing, walking, bending, lifting and carrying equipment and supplies over 50 pounds. Must satisfactorily complete a pre-employment physical. This position has been designated as a testing designated position (TDP). About the position: This position will be assigned to The Outdoor Recreation Department on Edwards AFB. You will oversee the daily operations of the outdoor recreation equipment checkout and resale program. This is a Regular Full Time (RFT) position with benefits (medical, dental, life insurance, retirement, 401(k), and annual/sick leave.
