SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: A qualified candidate’s online application and resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade (GS-13) level in the Federal service. Specialized experience for this position is defined as: For the GS-14, experience must be equivalent to the GS-13 level: Experience reviewing intelligence databases and program reviews or investigations on information obtained to resolves questions of counterintelligence value. Experience preparing reports, documentations or assessments referring to counterintelligence issues. Experience recognizing indications of foreign intelligence service or foreign terrorism activity throughout the intelligence community. Experience collaborating with the intelligence communities to convey ideas of counterintelligence and investigative matters. The OPM Group Qualification Standard for this position is: General Investigation Series 1810 (”Experience” refers to paid and unpaid experience. Examples of qualifying unpaid experience may include: volunteer work done through National Service programs (such as Peace Corps and AmeriCorps); as well as work for other community-based philanthropic and social organizations. Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills; and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. This position is located within U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) Office of Intelligence and Counterintelligence (DOE-IN) Directorate (CID). The Office plays a major role in defending the DOE complex against foreign penetration, including espionage, sabotage, cyber intrusion, theft of nuclear materials, technology, and intellectual property.
