Qualifications required: General knowledge of and experience with continuity of operations planning. General knowledge of homeland security, national security, or intelligence functions. Knowledge and mastery of analytical tools, information systems, and methodologies with expert ability to provide authoritative advice to management throughout the Agency for continuity. Ability to plan, organize, and coordinate stakeholder efforts across organizational lines, including the ability to monitor progress on requirements development to ensure that realistic objectives and milestones are established, to clearly assign responsibilities, and to get mission requirements accomplished in a timely manner. Ability to effectively communicate, both orally and in writing, and to present well-considered and sound suggestions that provide a clear understanding of emergency situations and incidents to ensure effective communications and decision-making during a crisis. This is a 1 year non-reimbursable assignment. The incumbent serves as a Continuity Planner located within U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP), Operations Support (OS), CBP Watch. This position serves as a specialist and provides technical support to Emergency Management professionals on continuity programs requiring application of a wide range of qualitative and quantitative methods to assess complex management and program processes and systems.
