
Supervisory Park Ranger

Only experience and education obtained by 02/15/2023 will be considered. In order to qualify for this position, you must possess the Minimum Qualification. Minimum Qualification [GS-12 I have at least one (1) year of full-time specialized experience comparable in difficulty and responsibility to the next lower grade level (GS-11) in the Federal government that equipped me with the particular knowledge, skills and abilities to perform successfully the duties of this position. Such experience would include: 1) planning, administering, and managing visitor services activities; 2) creating and implementing new recreational and/or educational opportunities, programs and services for visitors: 3) ensuring that visitor facilities and programs meet all regulatory requirements (safety, accessibility, historical preservation, etc.) and programmatic goals and objectives; 4) managing a Natural Resource or Public Land’s program budget and ensuring proper use of funds; 5) developing and maintaining cooperative relationships with the public, educational institutions, non-profit organizations, and governmental agencies to promote the programs/services of a park/refuge and/or to partner on collaborative projects. NOTE: Your resume must contain sufficient detail, e.g., complete begin/end dates, work schedule, duties, etc., for each work period for consideration. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Time In Grade Requirement: Applicants must meet both eligibility and qualification requirements for the position of interest by the closing date of the JOA. Specifically, i.
