This position has a selective placement factor that will be used to screen out ineligible candidates. The selective placement factor is: This position requires knowledge in Chemistry, Materials Science, Biology, Biotechnology or equivalent with demonstrated experience in obtaining funding and managing large, complex and/or multifaceted research programs that are biotechnology driven OR have biological relevance or application. This position requires demonstrates experience in supervision of personnel. In addition to the Basic Requirements for this position, your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11/13 grade level or NP-03 pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector performing most or all of the following duties: 1) Providing advice and direction to the research programs within the division; 2.) Planning and developing programs, conducting experiments and writing appropriate technical documentation; 3.) Presenting technical content at workshops, symposia and meetings; 4.) Overseeing research programs performed by other branch scientist; AND 5.) Preparing new proposals and the conduct of new research programs in the center.
