Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if the position allows for qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Qualifying Experience: Applicant must have experience which provided a working familiarity with small engines and basic mechanical skills. Must have a practical knowledge and or experience of recreational activities and equipment. Knowledge of rules and procedures in a recreation program or activity. Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license. This is a drug testing designated position. The incumbent is subject to random testing for drug use. Must have cash handling experience. Moderate/heavy lifting required; 40 pounds or more. Must satisfactorily complete a pre-employment physical. Must satisfactorily complete a National Agency Check with Inquiries (NACI).
About the position: This position will be assigned to the Wright-Patterson Air Force Base Outdoor Recreation, assisting management in planning, developing, and conducting recreation activities and events. Assists with daily operation, maintenance, repair and cleaning of vehicles, equipment, facilities, and grounds. Moderate/heavy lifting required; 40 pounds or more.
