Recreation Assistant (Community Center)

Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if the position allows for qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Qualifying Experience: Must have experience which provides a working familiarity with the routines and procedures followed in group activities or programs; and practical knowledge and/or experience of recreational activities equipment, rules and procedures which involves recreational work in the area of specialty in which the position is assigned. Must have ability to communicate both orally and in writing. Must possess skill in dealing with the public. Subject to an irregular tour of duty to include nights, weekends and holidays. The incumbent is subject to random testing for drug use.
About the position: This position will be assigned to the Lakeside Center on Arnold Village. This is a Position is Regular Part Time (RPT) with a guarantee of 20 hours minimum per week and up to 40 with standard benefits. This is a drug tested position and subject to initial and random testing. A valid drivers license is required.
