To qualify for this position, applicants must meet all requirements by the closing date of this announcement. GS-06 grade level: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-05), assisting with work that involves the collection, compilation, and/or tracking of data and statistical information; helping with the planning, review, and reporting of statistical results on program studies; or providing general office supply and equipment support services (such as obtaining standard office supplies and services, procuring or justifying a full range of office services, or answering questions concerning policies and procedures) to support office services, programs and operations. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religions; spiritual; community; student; social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
This position functions as the program support assistant within the Non-Institutional Care Department in Nursing at the VA Greater Los Angeles Healthcare System. The primary purpose of the position is to provide support for the day-to-day administrative and clerical needs supporting the Non-Institutional Care Offices with technical, training, research, planning, and administrative activities. The duty station will be the Veterans Greater Los Angeles Health Care System, West Los Angeles.
