Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. To qualify based on your experience, your resume must describe at least one year of experience which prepared you to do the work in this job. Specialized experience is defined as work that involves; 1. Conducting special studies of financial programs and funding requirements to ensure the availability of funds. 2. Analyzes financial management relationships to develop appropriate recommendations for senior leadership. 3. Experience applying analytical methods and techniques to predict or assess the effects of budgetary and/or program changes and to evaluate the significance of conflicting program and budget data. You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Customer Service (Clerical/Technical) Financial Concepts, Policies, and Principles Financial Management Analysis Financial Reporting Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-11).
About the Position: This position is located at U.S. ARMY FCC DEPUTY DIRECTOR/CHIEF OF STAFF G-8 (FINANCIAL CAPITAL MANAGEMENT) DIVISION, Fort Eustis, VA. Fort Eustis, Virginia is in Newport News, between historic Williamsburg and Virginia Beach. Local Transportation via the Hampton Roads Transit (HRT) bus service to the surrounding area which includes Hampton, Norfolk, Portsmouth, Chesapeake and Virginia Beach, York County, Gloucester, Suffolk, and Smithfield.
