Applicants will be rated and ranked based on their knowledge of the following job elements: Ability To Do The Work Of Substation Operator Without More Than Normal Supervision (Screen-out Element )Knowledge of Power Transmission and distribution systems Ability to plan and control power distribution Ability to operate control boards, generators, and remote circuit breakers and equipment Ability to interpret operating instruction, load requests, and priority lists to plan load-shedding schedules, balance capacitance and reactive loads. Ability to read and understand electrical and mechanical drawings. All qualification requirements must be met by the closing date of this announcement. Merit Promotion candidates must also meet time-in-grade requirements by the announcement closing date.
