POSITIVE EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS: This position has a Positive Education Requirement. In order to verify that you meet the positive education qualifications for this position, you MUST submit a complete copy of your transcripts. Failure to submit this information WILL result in an ineligible rating. In addition to the Basic Requirements for this position, your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of Specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Specialized Experience: Utilizing principles and concepts and methodologies in the laboratory to include immunoassay, gas chromatography, liquid chromatography, mass spectrometry, tandem mass spectrometry, physical and chemical separation techniques and organic chemical synthesis; Performing multiple technical laboratory functions such as: interpreting drug screening results; initiating corrective action for all identified discrepancies, maintaining analytical laboratory instrumentation and providing staff laboratory training; Certifying test results in accordance with the organization’s scientific and forensic requirements; AND Advising senior organizational officials and staff regarding complex laboratory technical functions and Quality Assurance Programs. You will serve as a CHEMIST in the Navy Drug Screening Laboratory (NDSL) of NAVDRUGLAB GREAT LAKES IL.
