Qualifying experience may be obtained in the private or public sector. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic, religious/spiritual; community; student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. Basic Requirement: Degree: Successful completion of a full 4-year course of study in an accredited college or university leading to a bachelor’s or higher degree with a major (or equivalent) in Psychology. In addition to the Basic Requirements, applicants must have completed at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the grade 13 level or above in the Federal service. Specialized experience is defined as experience designing, developing, analyzing, evaluating and validating employee assessment tools; and experience providing consultant services to the workforce using models and theories of industrial/organizational psychology. Applicants must have met the qualification requirements (including selective placement factors – if any) for this position within 30 calendar days of the closing date of this announcement. This position is located in the Deputy to the Chairman & Chief Operating Office, Human Resources Branch, Human Capital Strategic Planning & Analysis of the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation and develops and executes criteria and procedures for evidence- based application of behavioral science and personnel measurement practices related to job requirements, competency modeling, performance measurement, talent assessment, selection recommendations, and program evaluation.
