You may qualify at the GS-12, if you fulfill the following qualifications: A. One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-11 grade level in the Federal service: Expert technical knowledge of regulations, standards, methods, procedures, and techniques related to Physical Security and Stockpile Management (PSSM) and ammunition life cycle management; thorough knowledge of DoD Humanitarian Mine Action (HMA) and stockpile conventional munitions assistance program and policies; and preparing short- and long-range planning guidance; planning, organizing, and executing major studies/analyses; conduct of measures of effectiveness analysis. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
This position is part of the Defense Security Cooperation Agency. The incumbent will possess expert knowledge of regulations and techniques related to Physical Security and Stockpile Management (PSSM) and ammunition life cycle management, as a thorough understanding of DoD Humanitarian Mine Action (HMA) and stockpile conventional munitions policies. Responsibilities include preparing planning guidance, organizing major studies/analyses, and conducting effectiveness analyses.
