GS-11: In addition to the Basic Requirements for this position, your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Providing engineering support in order to operate, maintain and alter heavy industrial electrical utility systems; 2) Providing technical expertise and advisory authority for electrical utility issues; 3) Testing equipment in order to solve operating problems; and 4) Estimating time and cost of engineering projects. GS-12: In addition to the Basic Requirements for this position, your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1)Conducting Utility System Assessment studies, inspections, and surveys of electrical generation and distribution systems and other systems/equipment, including electrical lighting; 2) Evaluating systems and equipment operating efficiencies to determine possible reductions in energy usage; 3) Performing engineering studies of complex power generation and distribution systems to assure adequate condition, capacity, and reliability of power system to support future growth; and 4) Performing in-depth analysis of electrical systems to determine system deficiencies and necessary corrective action.
