To qualify for this position, applicants must meet all requirements by the closing date of this announcement, 10/08/2024. Language Proficiency: For this position, you must be: (1) proficient in spoken and written English. (2) proficient in spoken Spanish. You may qualify based on your experience and/or education as described below: Specialized Experience: You must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade GS-04 in the normal line of progression for the occupation in the organization. Examples of specialized experience would typically include, but are not limited to: data collection and reports, equipment turn-in, work orders, ordering of office supplies, HR liaison duties, records management, ADPAC duties, and other administrative/clerical duties. OR, Education: Applicants may substitute education for the required experience. To qualify based on education for this grade level you must have completed four (4) years above high school. NOTE: Transcripts (unofficial or official) must be submitted with your application materials. Education cannot be credited without documentation. OR, Combination: Applicants may also combine education and experience to qualify at this level, only education in excess of the first 60 semester hours (i.e., beyond the second year) is creditable. You must have an appropriate combination of specialized experience and education. NOTE: Transcripts (unofficial or official) must be submitted with your application materials. Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Note: A full year of work is considered to be 35-40 hours of work per week. Part-time experience will be credited on the basis of time actually spent in appropriate activities. Applicants wishing to receive credit for such experience must indicate clearly the nature of their duties and responsibilities in each position and the number of hours a week spent in such employment. Physical Requirements: The work is sedentary. Typically, the employee sits comfortably to do the work. However, there may be some walking, standing, bending, carrying of light items such as papers, books, small parts, or driving an automobile, etc. No special physical demands are required to perform the work. The work environment involves everyday risks or discomforts, which require normal safety precautions typical of such places as offices, meeting and training rooms, or libraries. The work area is adequately lighted, heated, and ventilated. As the Program Support Assistant assigned to Supply Chain Management, Veteran Affairs Caribbean Health Care System in Carolina ,Puerto Rico, at Carolina Warehouse responsible for organizing and maintaining the complex day-to-day administrative/clerical operations of the Warehouse Section. Your primary purpose is to perform a wide variety of duties including, but not limited to, data collection and reports, work orders, ordering office supplies, and other administrative/clerical duties.
