SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS A qualified candidate’s online application and resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower NNSA Demonstration Project pay band or GS grade level in the Federal service, i.e., NQ-02 or GS-12. Specialized experience for this position is defined as: Experience with logistics processes and procedures, such as logistical and emergency mobilization systems, property, supplies, budgets, maintenance, transportation, equipment design and development to plan, coordinate and evaluate the actions needed to support training and mission requirements for an organizational program. To meet the basic qualifications requirements at the NQ-03 level (GS-13/14), select the option that best describes your experience. A. I have one full year of specialized experience equivalent in responsibility and scope to the NQ-02 pay band or GS-12 level as described in the vacancy announcement under specialized experience requirements. B. I do not meet the specialized experience as described in the vacancy announcement. Examples of Specialized Experience: – Experience with logistics processes and procedures, such as logistical and emergency mobilization systems, property, supplies, budgets, maintenance, transportation, equipment design and development to plan, coordinate and evaluate the actions needed to support training and mission requirements for an organizational program. – Experience interpreting and providing guidance on regulations and laws concerning the management of high-risk personal property programs. – Experience interpreting and providing guidance on mobility management policies and procedures relating to a Transportation Security System, to provide technical expertise on logistical support requirements during actual emergencies and simulated emergency exercises. – Demonstrated performance in contract administration to perform task monitoring and oversight over various logistics support contracts. “Experience” refers to paid and unpaid experience. Examples of qualifying unpaid experience may include: volunteer work done through National Service programs (such as Peace Corps and AmeriCorps); as well as work for other community-based philanthropic and social organizations. Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills; and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. CTAP/ICTAP candidates: To be considered “well qualified” you must meet all of the requirements as described in this section. If you are eligible for career transition assistance plans such as ICTAP or CTAP, you must meet the definition of “well qualified” which is defined as having a score of 85 or better. You must meet all qualifications and eligibility requirements within 30 days of the closing date of this announcement.
This position is with the Assistant Deputy Administrator for the Office of Secure Transportation (OST), Office of Training and Resources (OTR), Resources Division (RD), Logistics and Property Management Branch (LPMB) in Fort Smith, Arkansas. A successful candidate will provide logistical support for planning and execution for on and off-site operations.
