Only experience and education obtained by 10/04/2024 will be considered. In order to qualify for this position you must possess both the Minimum Qualification. Minimum Qualification GS-13 One year of full-time specialized experience comparable in difficulty and responsibility to the next lower level (comparable to GS-12) in the Federal Government. Examples of experience may include: Oversees, leads and/or manages all processes related to the delivery of benefit programs and to ensure that quality advice and services is provided to employees; provides administrative, advisory and transactional support for the processing of federal benefits, work-life, and retirements to a group of employees; experience with recommending solutions to complex benefit related problems; and experience with assigning tasks, evaluating work performed, handle complaints, grievance, and disciplinary problems regarding subordinate staff. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Time In Grade Requirement: Applicants must meet both eligibility and qualification requirements for the position of interest by the closing date of the JOA. Specifically, i. This position serves as the Supervisory Human Resources Specialist for the Benefits Service Delivery Area, U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service (FWS or Service). The incumbent plans, directs, coordinates, and evaluates the delivery of the Benefits operational support program to ensure that high quality Human Resources advice and services are provided to managers, supervisors, and employees.
