The qualifications for this position must be met by 11:59 PM (Eastern Time) on 10/10/2024. Current Federal employees must have served 52 weeks at the lower grade or equivalent grade band in the Federal service. The Time-in-Grade requirement must be met by 11:59 PM (Eastern Time) on 10/10/2024. Basic Requirements: All applicants must meet the following basic requirements: (Must be supported in Transcripts from an accredited institution, Resume and/or Applicable Certificate) Degree: major or equivalent in psychology for all specializations except clinical psychology and counseling psychology. These two specializations have additional educational requirements, as stated below: Clinical psychology: Satisfactory completion of all the requirements for the doctoral degree (Ph.D. or equivalent) directly related to full professional work in clinical psychology is required. Counseling psychology: Satisfactory completion of 2 full academic years of graduate study directly related to professional work in counseling psychology, or satisfactory completion in an accredited educational institution of all the requirements for a master’s degree directly related to counsel psychology is required. Selective Placement Factor: You must possess a license in clinical psychology in a US State or Territory. This experience must be documented in your resume. Proof of license will be required if selected. Failure to do so may result in an ineligible rating. GS-14: You qualify at the GS-14 level if you possess one (1) year of specialized experience, which is equivalent to at least the GS-13 level in the federal government, that equipped you with the skills needed to successfully perform the duties of the position. You must have experience performing the following duties: Determining if a subject is a potential threat/risk to themselves, others, the workplace, or national security. Conducting and reviewing psychological assessments to inform adjudicators who are making personnel security determinations. Providing expert witness testimony regarding psychological assessments. Advising on behaviors and psychiatric conditions. This position is located in Management Directorate, Office Of Security and Integrity. As a Personnel Psychologist, you will provide guidance, advice, and subject matter expertise to USCIS security professional and leadership to ensure the national security by assessing individuals judgment, reliability, and trustworthiness.
