To qualify for this position, applicants must meet all requirements within 30 days of the closing date of this announcement, 10/07/2024. Time-In-Grade Requirement: Applicants who are current Federal employees and have held a GS grade any time in the past 52 weeks must also meet time-in-grade requirements within 30 days of the closing date of this announcement. For a GS-12 position you must have served 52 weeks at the GS-11 grade level. For a GS-13 position you must have served 52 weeks at the GS-12 grade level. The grade may have been in any occupation, but must have been held in the Federal service. An SF-50 that shows your time-in-grade eligibility must be submitted with your application materials. If the most recent SF-50 has an effective date within the past year, it may not clearly demonstrate you possess one-year time-in-grade, as required by the announcement. In this instance, you must provide an additional SF-50 that clearly demonstrates one-year time-in-grade. You may qualify based on your experience as described below: GS-12 Specialized Experience: You must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade GS-11 in the normal line of progression for the occupation in the organization. Examples of specialized experience would typically include, but are not limited to: Communicate and collaborate with administrative and program staff to provide special studies, surveys, projects, planning, statistical analyses; monitor changes in clinical and administrative data systems; review, identify trends, and analyze reports to provide input with complex BIM planning and implementations; reviews proposals/initiatives to ensure they are complete and requirements are met. Note: Experience must be fully documented on your resume and must include job title, duties, month & year starting and year ending dates AND hours worked per week. GS-13 Specialized Experience: You must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade GS-12 in the normal line of progression for the occupation in the organization. Examples of specialized experience would typically include, but are not limited to: Communicate and collaborate with administrative and program staff to provide special studies, surveys, projects, planning, statistical analyses; monitor changes in clinical and administrative data systems; review, identify trends, and analyze reports to provide input with complex BIM planning and implementations; reviews proposals/initiatives to ensure they are complete and requirements are met; establish process controls and conduct analytical studies to note discrepancies and planned initiatives for effecting remedial actions; compile information from various programmatic units for effective reporting and presentations; establishes criteria for internal reviews. Part-time experience will be credited on the basis of time actually spent in appropriate activities. Physical Requirements: The work is predominately performed in a sedentary position. The work often requires long hours to meet project deadlines and to devise corrective actions and solutions to unexpected technical and/or management crises, resulting in highly stressful work situations. The incumbent is expected to be on occasional travel status and participate in some overtime work at night and on weekends while working on various projects. This position serves as the VISN 20 Program and Data Analyst to the Business Implementation Manager (BIM). Primary responsibility is to provide assistance and oversight to the VISN 20 Business Office staff and ambulatory care services in its 8 VAMCs and associated Community Based Outpatient Clinics (CBOCs) as it relates to access to care as applicable.
