Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if the position allows for qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Qualifying Experience: Ability to lead 3 or more custodial workers to accomplish housekeeping assignments. Must have functional experience and demonstrated knowledge of facility/equipment in housekeeping and the ability to build teams and work with others. Must have experience and knowledge of housekeeping principles and practices. Must be able to plan, coordinate, and time sequence steps needed to meet time constraints of work assignments. Experience and knowledge must have been gained either in a military lodging program or commercial hotel/motel. Must be able to follow oral or written instructions and speak English. Must be physically able to frequently lift and empty wastebaskets, and occasionally lift and carry items weighing up to 20 pounds. Must be able to continuously stand, bend, stoop, and reach for long periods of time. Employee must have a valid driver’s license. Must be able to satisfactorily complete a Tier 1 Background Investigation. Must possess a valid state driver’s license appropriate for the size and type of vehicle operated. Must provide a copy of driving record. Knowledge of operating one or more gasoline, diesel, or electric powered wheeled vehicles with a GVW of up to 10,000 pounds such as pickup trucks, sedans, crew cab pickup trucks, jeeps, and station wagons. Possess knowledge of defensive driving techniques, including skill to recognize developing hazardous road and traffic conditions and the judgment to select alternate routes to avoid potential problems. This is a drug testing designated position. The incumbent is subject to random testing for drug use. You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas:
About the position: This position will be assigned to the Inns of Dyess . This position is considered Regular Part-time (RPT). guaranteed 20 hours you may be required to work weekends and holidays.
