Engineering Technician (Chemical)

In order to qualify for an Engineering Technician, GS-0802 position at the GS-12 level, you must have 1 year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-11 level in the Federal service obtained in either the private or public sector, performing the following types of tasks: preparing designs and specifications for water treatment projects on utility systems; providing recommendations to engineers and other professional staff to develop alternative or improved designs for water treatment systems; analyzing data from water treatment systems to create technical graphs and plots; maintaining surveillance over utilities construction projects to ensure construction milestones are met; reviewing proposed construction designs and specifications to ensure suitability for water treatment systems; evaluating utilities equipment and procedures to maximize efficiency and effectiveness of water treatment systems. Do you have experience providing technical advice and performing project management functions on water treatment systems and other utilities systems? If so, please considering the Office of Research Facilities, Division of Technical resources as an Engineering Technician (Chemical). You will provide technical support for field engineering and troubleshooting of utility systems, perform contract administration, and oversee the operation and maintenance of water treatment systems.
