Specialized Experience: Applicants must have one (1) year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-13 level. Specialized experience is experience which is in or related to the line of work of the position to be filled and which has equipped the applicant with the specific knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position. Examples of specialized experience include: – Grants management administration and operations for cross-cutting federal financial assistance regulations, directives, and policies. – Interpreting complex grants management policies and regulations and providing recommendations on implementation. – Developing strategies to apply innovative and forward-thinking approaches to carrying out financial and policy grants management activities. – Supporting efforts to implement new or revised financial and policy grants management business processes, including participation in change management and stakeholder engagement activities. – Coordinating the implementation of grants management policies and procedures across multiple components, divisions, or units within an agency or organization. – Serving as a subject matter expert for business process needs in information technology systems for grants management.
