Applicants must meet the required qualification requirements described below by the closing date of the announcement. Applicants applying for the GS-06 must meet one of the following requirements: A. Have at least one full year of specialized experience that is at least equivalent to work performed at the GS-05 grade level. Qualifying experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Providing administrative support functions to an office related to the operations of various programs, such as administrative, human resource liaison, internal control, logistics, fleet, personal property (accountable and non-accountable), supply management, quality assurance, records management, and Task Force management; 2) Performing a variety of routine clerical duties such as time and attendance management, preparation of correspondence, record-keeping, and maintenance of automated databases; and, 3) Assisting in the review and compliance with office procedures. Applicants applying for the GS-07 must meet one of the following requirements: A. Have at least one full year of specialized experience that is at least equivalent to work performed at the GS-06 grade level. Qualifying experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Providing administrative support functions to an office related to the operations of various programs, such as administrative, human resource liaison, internal control, logistics, fleet, personal property (accountable and non-accountable), supply management, quality assurance, records management, and Task Force management; 2) Performing a variety of clerical duties related to data processing, travel, equipment and property accountability and maintenance, data processing, fleet management and maintenance, personal property (accountable and non-accountable), supply management, human resource liaison assistance, records management, and Task Force Office management; 3) Assisting in the review and update of office procedures; and, 4) Establishing, filing, and maintaining office records in accordance with regulations and procedures. Specialized experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. PROFICIENCY REQUIREMENT: Applicant must be able to type 40 words per minute. This position is located in the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA), New Orleans Field Division. This position(s) primary purpose is to support the Domestic Division General Services Unit by providing administrative support work relating to the coordination, resolution, and disposition of a variety of substantive actions and assignments essential to the direction and efficient operation of the Division.
