Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-13 grade level or DP-03 pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Experience with cost, schedule and performance of a highly-visible Department of Defense program with significant risk, urgent requirements, significant technology advances, and high-dollar investment; 2) Working in various areas of the Department of Defense acquisition process, including requirements development, test and evaluation, contracting, or financial management; 3) Leading the work of an organization that includes civilian, military, or contractors in the performance of Department of Defense Acquisition work; 4) Executing the analysis, assessment, characterization, review and/or testing of information systems, software defined radios and/or waveform technologies for interoperability, security, resiliency, reusability and/or exportability; and 5) Experience with development and implementation of network architectures, software frameworks and/or communications standards for tactical and strategic networks, information systems, software defined radios and/or associated waveform technologies. Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment.
