AREA OF CONSIDERATION: The areas of considerations for this position, Title 32 Excepted Service (32 U.S. Code § 709), will be in the following manner and sequence, The FIRST area of consideration for this position will be all excepted permanent and indefinite temporary technicians within the ILNG. The SECOND area of consideration will be all current Federal Employees. The THIRD area of consideration will be all Federal re-employment eligible. The FOURTH area of consideration will be applicants willing to become T32 Dual Status Technicians and gain ILNG membership. The FIFTH area of consideration will U.S. Citizens. Military Grades: Enlisted – Maximum Rank is E-5 GENERAL EXPERIENCE: MUST possess experience, education or training involving administration of supply management, storage, cataloging, packaging and distribution or other work which provided the applicant with a general knowledge of one or more aspects of the supply field; experience using computer and automation systems. One year of specialized experience equivalent to the lower grade level in the Federal service in order to be considered for this position. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: GS-11 Level MUST possess specialized experience which includes at least 1-year specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade. supervising and/or managing supply personnel and a variety of supply functions; knowledge on the entire inventory management supply system; experience coordinating with other organizations on complex and controversial supply issues; experience providing advice and guidance on supply regulations to upper levels of management regarding supply functions; experience analyzing, developing, evaluating to improve supply programs, policies, procedures, techniques, etc. GS-9 Level MUST possess specialized experience which includes at least 1-year specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade; ability researching documents or other resources to coordinate inventory requirements; knowledge of stock levels, inventory, shipping, receiving, requisitioning and requirements of supplies and equipment; experience involving the control of supply stocks and accounting for equipment; knowledge of supply management, cataloging, maintenance, and disposal procedures; experience which required person-to-person contacts to convey information and ability to compile reports, letters, memoranda, etc.; experience with cost estimates, budgets, or funding management; experience conducting extensive and exhaustive searches for required information; reconstruct records for complex supply transactions; and/or provide supply operations support for supply activities. GS-7 Level MUST specialized experience which includes at least 1-year specialized experience equivalent to at least GS-5 Level experience, education, or training in researching documents or other resources to coordinate inventory requirements; knowledge of stock levels, inventory, shipping, receiving, requisitioning and requirements of supplies and equipment; experience involving the control of supply stocks and accounting for equipment. Knowledge of supply management, cataloging, maintenance and disposal procedures; experience which required person-to-person contacts to convey information and ability to compile reports, letters, memoranda, etc. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment.
