This is an interdisciplinary position and may be filled by a Civil Engineer (0810-series), a Mechanical Engineer (0830-series), an Aerospace Engineer (0861-series) or a Naval Architecture Engineer (0871-series) depending upon the qualifications of the candidate. Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the ND-4 pay band (GS-12 and GS-13 equivalency) in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector as a professional engineer providing subject matter expertise or program management utilizing extensive technical knowledge in the area of propulsor design. You will serve as a Propulsor Branch Subject Matter Expert in the Computational Fluid Dynamics and Propulsors Division of CARDEROCK DIV NS. This position is part of the Warfare Centers Personnel Demonstration Project. The ND-5 pay band encompasses positions equivalent to the GS-14 and GS-15.
