Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes preparing and/or managing manpower and/or budget reports for an organization; utilizing automated systems to input expense and/or personnel data; identifying, developing, and/or implementing methods for improvements; preparing financial reports using financial systems; managing personnel actions for subordinate support staff; and assisting with workload distribution of subordinates. This definition of specialized experience is typical work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12). You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Education and Training Financial Management Information Management Managing Human Resources Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-12).
About the Position: The incumbent, will serve as Chief for the Medical Expense and Performance Reporting System (MEPRS) Branch for a major Military Treatment Facility (MTF). Work involves analyzing financial data to produce cost analysis for the consolidation of medical subspecialties and managing manpower and personnel practices. The work managed and produced at this level influences manpower and budget decisions at the headquarters level.
