Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes experience related to safety and occupational health programs which included managing a safety and occupational health program; establishing guidelines and criteria to control or eliminate hazards at a medical treatment facility; creating and implementing safety programs, applying safety and occupational health laws, regulations, policies, practices and procedures for a medical treatment facility recommending workplace changes/improvements; advising staff on unsafe working conditions dealing and training/educating staff on the safe practices of safety and occupational health requirements. You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Compliance Inspection and Program Management Leadership Oral Communication Program Management Safety and Health Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS12-).
About the Position: This position is located with Directorate of Resource Management, Special Assistants the Naval Medica Center, San Diego, CA A recruitment or relocation incentive may be authorized. Salary negotiation may be available for those candidates who are new to Federal service. Enhanced Leave Accrual may be authorized.
