Specialized Experience: One year of experience which includes: 1) Coordinating financial management programs to assure availability of resources to meet established milestones for development and fielding of weapon systems; 2) Translating program estimates/budgets through statistical reports and presentations; and 3) Analyzing and reconciling financial transactions issues. This typically includes work performed at the next lower grade/level NH-02(GS-11) position in the federal service. Position may be filled as a Term appointment NTE 3 years. Term appointments may be extended up to a maximum of six years. With DoD approval, term appointments may be extended beyond 6 six years, but no more than 8 years. Employees hired under the modified term appointment may be eligible for conversion to career-conditional appointments or career appointments. This position may be converted to permanent career or career-conditional appointment without further competition as long as the following requirements are met. To be eligible for conversion, employee must complete at least 2 years of current continuous service under a term appointment in the competitive service and employee must have a current performance rating under such term appointments of at least full successful or equivalent.
This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for AcqDemo Business and Technical Management Career Path (NH) to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service. About the Position: Serves as advisor to management concerning the analysis of major administrative-technical and program aspects of substantive mission-oriented programs. This is a pay banded position. The NH-03 encompasses grades 12 and 13 on the General Schedule.
