GS-06: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-05) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector performing most or all of the following Emergency Dispatcher duties: 1) Dispatching emergency vehicles; 2) Performing incoming and outgoing multi-phone line operations; 3) Assessing incoming emergency calls with Standard Operating Procedures or guidelines to determine the proper course of action; and 4) Dispatching in a high volume/urgent environment. GS-05: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-04) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector performing most or all of the following Emergency Dispatcher duties: 1) Assisting in performing technical and specialized emergency dispatch work; 2) Assisting in flowing and directing incident related information to and from the appropriate field units; 3) Using communication equipment and multi-channel radios; and 4) Adapting to ever changing environments and computer equipment types.
