Basic Qualifications Must be at least 16 years of age. Must be enrolled or accepted for enrollment in a Technical or vocational school, 2-year or 4-year college or university, graduate or professional school, at a qualifying educational institution on a half-time or full-time basis. Must be in good academic standing with a cumulative GPA (grade point average) of 3.0 or better (must provide a transcript and proof of enrollment/acceptance letter); these standards will be in effect for the duration of the internship. Must maintain enrollment/continue education throughout the duration of employment under the Pathways Program. Minimum Qualifications: In addition to meeting the Basic Qualifications stated above, you must also meet the minimum qualifications for the appropriate grade level, or applicable general or specialized experience, or a combination of both To qualify for the GS-4 level, completed 2 full academic years of post-high school study pursing a degree in accounting, finance or related field or an associate’s degree in accounting ,finance or a related field (one year of full-time academic study is defined as 30 semester hours or 45 quarter hours in a college or university; or at least 20 hours of classroom instruction per week for approximately 36 weeks in a business, secretarial or technical school) To qualify for the GS-5 level, you must have completed 4 academic years of post-high school education leading to a bachelor’s degree or equivalent degree in accounting, finance or in a related field such as: business administration, and/or public administration that includes 24 semester hours in accounting (the 24 semester hours may include up to 6 hours in credit in business law)
