You must meet the following requirements by the closing date of this announcement. Specialized Experience: Specialized experience for the GS-13 is one year of experience at the GS-12 level or equivalent in other public or private sectors, that is directly related to the position as listed in this announcement and which has equipped the candidate with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position. Specialized experience is defined as: -Applying principles and practices of electrical engineering in the areas of design, modification, installation or operation of electrical systems; AND-Collaborating with other professionals on efforts to improve engineering and manufacturing performance. In addition to the above requirements, you must meet the following time-in-grade requirement, if applicable: For the GS-13, you must have been at the GS-12 level for 52 weeks.
This position is located at Bureau of Engraving and Printing, within the Facilities Engineering Division. As an Electrical Engineer, you will be the principal electrical engineer and manage the electrical power distribution system of this industrial facility. You will be responsible for identifying new approaches, resolving problems that affect construction, renovation and major repair of electrical power systems, and identifying and developing ways to resolve problems.
