To qualify for the GS-13 grade level your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Applying automated data system and database design methods, data system interfaces, database standards and technology, information systems analysis, and automated information system databases, software, and processing hardware to provide database and related advice, planning support and recommendations to leadership. 2) Applying and adapt new and improved approaches to the design, development, and implementation of data mining, data warehousing, and related data storage and retrieval systems. 3) Conducting independent comprehensive assessments of management, operational, and technical security controls and control enhancements employed within or inherited by a system to determine overall effectiveness. 4) Developing guidelines for applying data modeling practices to the development of data management applications and diagnosing and resolving the most complex data management problems and issues. And 5) Develops automation security concepts and measures and communications equipment requirements to support utilities for site preparation or system modifications. Your experience must reflect skill in the following areas: attention to detail, customer service, oral communication, and problem solving.
