At the GS-14 level, you must meet the following qualification: One year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-13 level. Specialized experience is that which has equipped the applicant with the competencies to successfully perform the duties of the position, and that is typically in or related to the position to be filled. Examples of specialized experience for this position include 1) applying advanced data analytics and data science principles to support data informed organizational decision-making; 2) driving organizational change and strategic initiatives for the success of an organization’s data strategy; and 3) following data management and governance best practices (such as: establishing effective procedures, standards, and controls to ensure quality, accuracy, transparency, and privacy of data). AND IT-related experience which demonstrates the (four) required competencies – Attention to Detail, Customer Service, Oral Communication, and Problem Solving. Only experience and education obtained by the closing date of this announcement will be considered. A written test is not required. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
This position is part of the Selective Service System, Information Technology Directorate. The incumbent will be responsible for Agencys data management, governance, collection, analysis, protection, use and dissemination, including with respect to any statistical and related techniques to protect and de-identify confidential data.
