ENGINEERING TECHNICIAN

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of Specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Experience working in close liaison with other organizations such as production shop, project leadership, engineering leadership, with regards to management of work packaging products and services; Experience in shipyard production methods, technical procedures, funding, processes, material and equipment required for the maintenance and repair overhaul of complex navy vessels; Experience in ship systems, the normal progression of work, the work authorization process, and a working knowledge of all aspects of the Work Packaging and Control process; Experience in material acquisition, storage and delivery procedures; Experience writing and/or reviewing Technical Work Documents such as Deficiency reports (DFs), Deficiency Logs (DLs) and Task Group Instructions (TGIs). You will serve as a ENGINEERING TECHNICIAN in the Submarine Work Packaging and Control Branch (Code 225), Process Controls Division (Code 220), Office of the Chief Engineer (Code 240), Engineering and Planning Department (Code 200) of NORFOLK NAVAL SHIPYARD.
