EQUIPMENT SPECIALIST

GS-09: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Experience with all aspects of all WHE components and other assigned shipyard equipment designated as special purpose service (SPS); Experience researching and interpreting engineering plans, drawing, technical manuals, as well as examining equipment to determine technical information identifications and functions of components and repair parts to source material from the stock system; Experience determining, based on cost, impact on Production Department work schedules, vendor capabilities, difficulty of manufacture and availability of material, whether to manufacture or procure, through approved vendors, non-standard items; Experience providing detailed instructions, drawing dimensions and engineering specifications for shipyard manufactured materials; Experience preparing detailed TWDs, CWI, material procurement documents and sketches for providing repair instructions for deficiencies; Experience with re-inspect and/or review all completed work and associated documentation to insure repairs, alterations/modifications, construction, maintenance and/or improvement have been accomplished in accordance with written instructions; Experience applying the policies, procedure and regulation mandated by NAVSEA, NAVFAC and local requirements that govern the utilization and maintenance of special purpose service WHE.
